JAY, AFTER FIFTY
Jay hendrickson
Hi, I'm Jay. I'm 55, I still clock in at a day job, and every Tuesday I send Mid-Life Letters: one honest note for anyone over 50 who's wondering what's next. I share what I've learned the hard way, with a sense of humor, so you can find your footing again. I'll walk this journey beside you.

My story
I'm a divorced dad of an adult daughter, a son concerned about his aging parents, and I still clock in at a day job.
I've been a paralegal, a public assistance specialist, and I've worked in manufacturing, shipping and receiving, food service, caregiving, and retail. I've lived paycheck to paycheck. I've been through a divorce that tested me in every way a person can be tested.
Somewhere along the way, people started asking me the same question: "Jay, how do you stay so calm?"
This site is my answer. Mid-Life Letters is where I write honestly about my mornings, my faith, my mistakes, and building something new at 55.
I'm finally changing my future. Grab a coffee. Let's figure out what's next together.
