What Should I Know Before I Grab the Guide?
Who is this guide for?
People over 50 who are worn out by their work and keep wondering if it's time to leave. You don't need a plan, a business idea, or any tech skills to use it. Just a pen and some honesty with yourself.
Is this going to talk me into quitting my job?
No. As I say in the guide: "I'm not going to tell you to quit, and I'm not going to tell you to stay." When you're burnt out, it's easy to make a big decision just to stop the pain. This helps you make it with a clear head instead.
Who's Jay, and why should I listen?
I'm 55, and I still have a day job. I've worked as a paralegal, in public assistance, in manufacturing, in shipping and receiving, in caregiving, in retail, and at plenty of desks in between. I've lived paycheck to paycheck and gone through a divorce. I know the kind of tired a weekend doesn't fix, and I'm sharing what helped me.
How long does it take, and what do I need?
About 20 minutes, a pen, and a cup of coffee. The guide is a PDF, so you can print it and write right on the pages, or keep it open beside a notebook.
What happens after I sign up?
The guide lands in your inbox. You'll also get Mid-Life Letters, my email once a week about changing my future after 50: the good days, the hard days, and what I'm learning along the way. Hit reply any time. I read every reply.
Are you a therapist or a financial advisor?
No. I'm not a financial advisor, therapist, or career counselor. I've been through it and am sharing what helped me. For big money, health, or career decisions, please talk with a qualified professional.
